RETAINED VOLUNTEERS PROTECTING TASMANIAN COMMUNITIES

 

Welcome to the internet home the Tasmanian Retained Volunteer Firefighters Association.

The TRVFA represents all retained Firefighters & Brigades of the Tasmania Fire Service, by representing them on various committees, acting as a conduit of information both to and from the TFS, and generally supporting its members in anyway.

This site is here as a means to share information in both directions, there are some areas that are closed to the general public, but if you are a member of a retained brigade please go to the member’s only section to apply for access.

Please have a good look around the site, there are quite a few areas to peruse and hopefully enjoy, if you have any suggestions please feel free to make contact with the webmaster.

State Annual General Meeting 2008

 

Was held on the Sunday 17th August at Prospect Fire Station.

 

Changes to the Constitution have been adopted, and are available now from the State Secretary and will soon be published on this site via the link to the left.

 

The Minutes from this meeting will be sent out to members (on the mailing lists) soon.

 

North West Region AGM '08

 

Was held on the 23^rd of July 1930hrs at Ulverstone Fire Brigade.

 

No elections were required this year.

Northern Region AGM '08

Was held on the 30 July at Youngtown Training Complex

Elections of the office bearers were held;

Bob Barrett [Scottsdale] - President

Errol Gleeson [Deloraine] - Secretary

Matthew Buck [Prospect] - Delegate

Michael Armstrong [Longford] - Delegate

 

Congratulations to the above, and to the members of the region who strongly supported this meeting.

 Southern Region AGM '08

 

Was held on the 7^th April.

Craig Hughes was elected Southern Regional Secretary filling the vacancy in this role.
